Harry Emerson Fosdick

Harry Emerson Fosdick (1878-1969) was an influential American pastor and theologian. Born in New York, he became a prominent figure in the Protestant theological movement of the early 20th century known as “modernism.” Fosdick was the senior minister of the historic Riverside Church in New York and gained popularity for his eloquent preaching style and progressive theological views.
