Anne Northup

Anne Northup is an American politician born on January 22, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended Saint Mary’s College and the University of Louisville, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. Northup began her political career in the Kentucky State Senate in 1987 and later served as a representative in the United States House of Representatives from 1997 to 2007, representing the 3rd district of Kentucky. During her tenure, she focused on issues such as education, healthcare, and tax reform. Northup was known for her conservative stance and was a prominent member of the Republican Party. After leaving Congress, she continued to engage in public service and politics, holding positions in various organizations and advocating for causes such as women’s rights and healthcare reform.
