Adnan Pachachi

Adnan Pachachi is an Iraqi politician born on May 14, 1923, in Baghdad, Iraq. He comes from a prominent family and received his early education in Baghdad before continuing his studies in the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Pachachi became actively involved in politics and held various diplomatic positions, including as Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations and the United Kingdom. He also held ministerial roles in Iraqi governments before the Ba’ath Party came to power. Following the overthrow of Saddam Hussein’s regime, Pachachi played a significant role in Iraq’s transitional government, serving as the country’s foreign minister from 2004 to 2005. Known for his moderate stance and dedication to democratic principles, Pachachi has been involved in various efforts to stabilize and rebuild Iraq. He continues to be recognized as a prominent figure in Iraqi politics, advocating for national reconciliation and political reform.
